How come people don't appreciate four seasons?

Many people who want to move to a warm climate have never lived in one. They don't know how immensely BORING and predictable the weather is in the tropics and subtropics. Add to that the bugs, air conditoning costs, short summer days, short twilight, haze, and all the orted disadvantages of living in a warm area. I think the perfect climate is South Dakota. If only it were more populated, I'd move there.
