How do I convince my mom to let me have a cat?

...Obviously your mom has her reasons and maybe there is a little more to this...You have a family cat that you said doesn't get enough exercise and as part of this family you also have to take responsibility in exercising and caring for it...You can walk along with a string or yarn and they will chase it as this is instinct for them to do, or make it a cat tree or just play on the floor with it. Show a little more affection and time to the cat you already have and maybe your mom will see that you can take responsibility for one more, in time....It is up to us as cat owners to not raise a lazy, bored cat and the reason there are so many cat toys available today...Plant some cat gr and some cat nip for it, or buy it some, which will lift its spirits and get it moving as well.. We also must exercise our indoor cats by playing with them and I never yet met a cat that didn't like chasing a string..Find new ways to love the cat you already now have and I am quite sure you will see a difference in its mobility, and mom will see a difference in how you relate and take responsibility for the family cat...
