What show collar is normally used on a samoyed?

My grandfather shows Skye Terriers and he will only use snake chains. It never gets tangled in their hair. But, if you are having trouble with it, I suggest a braided nylon. But, my grandfather swears by snake chains. That is the only collar I've ever seen him use.
