Handedness vs. emotion; Why are we emotional even though we are dominated by our scientific left hemisphere?
About 90% of the population is right handed. In right handed people the left hemisphere of the brain, which is primarily scientific and logical, is dominant. The right hemisphere of the brain is more artistic and creative. My question is if the majority of people are right handed why is emotion so dominant in childhood? The only thing that matters when you are a child is how you feel, and you make most of your decisions based on emotions. Why is our least dominant hemisphere so prevalent in youth?
