How to apply for ILR?

I was borned in the UK in 1984, but left UK shortly. Both my parents are not settled in the UK and I hold a Malaysian nationality. In 2006, I came back to the UK for studies and have given birth to a child in 2009 in UK too. Is there any chance of gaining a ILR? or do I have to go through the same route as others? i.e. 5/10/14 years
