What's your opinion on this NRL article - Re: Dragons?

I have to agree with you Mel, I can't see any good reason to lose three games in a row coming into the finals. Since the Canberra raiders beat us 24 - 12 the Dragons haven't been playing that well with consecutive defeats after that loss to prove it, but I also don't believe that the players have decided to not listen to Wayne Bennett either. What team in their right minds would be telling the head 1st grade coach that they no how to do it better considering up until 3 weeks ago they were winning games using the coaches methods. In my opinion the club knew they had made the top three and decided to take the foot off the accelerator to prevent any player burnout before the finals. It might not be the best thing to do but if they can beat Parramatta this Friday night and beat them well, it will prove to the other teams that the St George Illawarra Dragons are back on track to take out the 2009 Grand Final.
